BEAVERCREEK — Beavercreek City Council approved plans Monday for new apartment buildings at the Ashton Brooke apartment complex.

According to city documents, plans call for two new buildings with 32 new apartment units on 3.33 acres of land on the north side of Lillian Lane, directly south of Interstate 675.

The new buildings would be the fifth and final phase of construction at the large complex, where development has gone through four previous phases since 1998, according to Randall Woodings, a representative of Kontogiannis & Associates, the architecture firm working on the project.

According to Woodings, construction on the project is expected to begin this summer.

Council members spoke in favor of the project before voting 7-0 to approve the site plan for the buildings Monday night.

“I appreciate the applicant continuing to invest in our community,” council member Zach Upton said. “Glad to have community partners willing to continue to work here.”

The new buildings would be located near Interstate 675 off Lillian Lane.
