Several candidates running unopposed

XENIA — Several candidates from Greene County are running uncontested in the May 8 primary election.

Linda Borgert of Beavercreek is running for the female spot on the Democrat State Central Committee, while Shawn Jackson of South Charleston is running for the male spot on the Democrat State Central Committee. Steve Austria of Beavercreek is running for the male spot on the Republican State Central Committee. Ross W. McGregor of Springfield appears on the ballot, but he withdrew and votes for him will not be counted, according to board of elections officials.

A slew of Democrats are also running unopposed for the local central committee.

Current Auditor David Graham, of Xenia, and Juvenile Court Judge Adolfo Tornichio, of Beavercreek, are not being challenged by a Republican or Democrat.

In Ohio’s 74th district, which encompasses Greene County east of Beavercreek and south of Yellow Springs, Democrat Anne Gorman of Plain City and incumbent Bill Dean, a Republican from Xenia, are unopposed.
