Tecumseh Elementary recently hosted a ribbon-cutting to officially open its new Habitat Lab. This interactive outdoor learning classroom offers students that chance to get hands-on as they explore various fundamental science topics. The space will be open to all Xenia students, with mini-field trips expected to be part of the classroom schedule for students in other buildings. For the ribbon-cutting event, all Tecumseh students headed outside for the festivities, and were joined by district and community leaders who were impressed by local plantings that are already established in the new space in spite of the drought that has made the installation a challenge this year.
