XENIA — Xenia Community Schools is now using ParentSquare to communicate with families, replacing the OneCall system.
ParentSquare will be used for informational items such as newsletters, announcements, snow day notifications, group chats, calendars, conference appointments, volunteer sign-ups, and more.
Under the new system, parents will be able to retrieve messages from the school via email, text, or app notification. They will also be able to choose how often they receive notifications. They can receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6 p.m. Phone calls will still be made for urgent messages and parents can communicate in their preferred language.
According to XCS, an account has been automatically generated for each parent and an invitation has been sent asking them to verify their account. Invitations were sent to the email address and phone number associated with the student’s information in Final Forms, so parents need to make sure their information is up to date.
Although helpful, a parent does not need to download the app to use ParentSquare. For more information, contact the board of education office at 937-376-2961.
