XENIA — Christopher A. Blackford and Caitlin H. Beyer both of Dayton announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding ceremony.

The groom-to-be is the son of Robbie and Jim Valley of Fairborn and Jeff Blackford of Lewisburg. The future bride is the daughter of Scott and Karen Beyer of Xenia.

Chris is the grandson of Ruth Dunlap and the late Robert Dunlap of Eaton and Janet Blackford and the late Joseph Blackford of Tipp City. Caitlin is the granddaughter of Ruth Beyer and the late W. Robert Beyer, of Vails Mill, N.Y. and the late Col W. Gordon and Carol Coloney of Broadalbin, N.Y. and Xenia.

The future groom is a graduate of Brookville High School and received a BA in history from Wright State University. He is employed as an appraisal residential lister at Tyler Technologies.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Jefferson Forest High School in Virginia and received a BA in dance from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Virginia. She is employed as a school administrative assistant at Summit Academy Community School in Dayton.

The ceremony will take place 5:30 p.m. Dec. 23 at Grinnell Mill Bed and Breakfast in Yellow Springs.
