Free clothing

FAIRBORN — The Fairborn United Methodist Church is starting its fifth year at the free clothing store, The Family Closet, located at Fairborn United Methodist Church, at 100 N. Broad St. During 2014, the church offered free clothing, coats and shoes to 298 families including 461 adults, 103 teens and 343 children.

The hours of operation for The Family Closet are 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and the first and third Saturdays of each month from 9-11 a.m. Check with the church 937-878-5042 before holidays to make sure it is open. All clothing is donated whether it is used or new. Anyone needing clothing is welcome to come.

Interfaith forum

KETTERING — The Interfaith Forum of Greater Dayton would like to invite you to their Social/Annual Meeting 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 at Christ United Methodist Church in Foster Hall (3rd floor), 3440 Shroyer Road.

Rev. Ken Clark will offer the opening prayer and introduce the topic of what Religion do you affiliate with and why? The program is free and open to the public. Come and join us for a potluck dinner and participate in an interesting, nonconfrontational, discussion. If you choose to bring something to share, please no pork or shellfish. Please include a list of ingredients in homemade treats for those with food sensitivities. Please bring a can of food for the Christ United Methodist Church food drive.

Middle Run celebrating pastor

XENIA — Middle Run Baptist Church, 1000 E. Church St., will hold the third pastoral appreciation celebration for Pastor LeRoy H. Anthony Sunday, Dec. 11. The Rev. Darryl Grayson will preach during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. The celebration will conclude 3:30 p.m. when the Rev. Dr. Carlton Williams and the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Dayton will be special guests for the worship Service. The public is invited.
