Local libraries announce January programs

GREENE COUNTY — The Greene County Community Libraries will hold a variety of programs for the month of January. Some programs require registration. The following library programs are planned:

Bellbrook

Winters-Bellbrook Community Library is located at 57 W. Franklin St. Call 937-352-4004 for more information or to register for program.

Card Club for adults, 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26. Have you ever played Rummy or Euchre? Learn how to play these classic card games.

Dare to Dream Book Club for grades 3-5, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31. Talk about books and have fun while doing it.

Board at the Library for ages 12-18, 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31. Join us for board games at the library. Bring a favorite from home or come learn a new game.

Cedarville

Cedarville Community Library is located at 20 S. Miller St. Call 937-352-4006 for more information or to register.

Child & Parent Canvas Painting for ages 6-11 with adult, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28. Each child and parent team will work together to complete one painting and all materials will be provided. Registration required.

Jamestown

Jamestown Community Library is located at 86 Seaman Drive. Call 937-352-4005 to register or for more information.

Drop-In Crafters for adults, 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31. Drop in the library and join other crafters are they work on various projects.

Book Discussion Group for adults, 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30. December: The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. Reserved copies of the book are available for you at the library.

Yellow Springs

Yellow Springs Community Library is located at 415 Xenia Ave. Call 937-352-4003.

Origami Yoda Club: The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppet 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31. Will the Force be with the student alliance and their origami puppets in their battle to get back their favorite classes? Hear a chapter read aloud, have a snack and join us for some Star Wars origami and other fun activities based on the series.

Oreo Tasting for ages 12-18, 4-5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27. Taste test different Oreos. Vote for your favorite flavor.

Brain Games — Fun Activities to Strengthen Neuroplasticity for adults, 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. Recent research indicates that certain daily activities optimize brain and body health. Join Lynn Hardman to hear about the research and try out some of the activities. Registration required.
