XENIA — People of all ages can enjoy a variety programs for the month of March at the Xenia Community Library, 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. To register for an event call at 937- 352-4000.

Quilt of the Month Club for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1. Each month there will be a new quilt block and/or a new technique to learn. Join and have a lap quilt by the end of the year. Kits and patterns are included. This registration is for people who need to use the library’s sewing machines. Registration required.

Book Tasting will be 12-1 p.m. Thursday, March 2. Bring your lunch and a favorite book or two to the library. We’ll have lunch together and share our reading experiences. It’s a great way to discover future reading adventures.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss, 3:30-5 p.m. Thursday, March 2. Drop in and celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday by playing the green eggs & ham toss, making a wocket for your pocket, making a hat and reading with the cat and more.

Baby Story Time for ages up to 24 months with adult, 10:30-11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 10, 17, 24.

Calligraphy: An Introduction to Beautiful Writing for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, March 6, 13. Have you ever wanted to learn to write beautifully? Please join this class as we explore various styles of calligraphy, methods for decorating your writing, and information on how to use this delightful skill. Registration required.

Preschool and Toddler Story Time for ages 2-5, 10:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 14, 21, 28.

Early Bookworms for grades K-3, 6-6:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 7. Read the book prior to the program and then attend the program for a rereading with fun learning activities. Check with Youth Services staff for this month’s title.

Xenia Book Club for adults, 10:15-11:45 a.m. Friday, March 10. Join us for a book club discussion. Everyone is welcome.

Maker Fun for ages 12-18, 10:30-12 p.m. Saturday, March 11. Join the Maker Movement. A variety of maker technology will be available at the event. Each month will feature at least one new opportunity. In March use perler beads to make a cool creation. All ages and experience levels are welcome.

Afterschool Art for grades K-5, 4-5 p.m. Thursday, March 16. Learn about famous artists and create art of your own.

Table Games for ages 10-18, 2:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, March 20. Join us for a classic board game or learn a new tabletop game.

Spring/Easter Card/Egg Class for adults, 5:30-7:30 Monday, March 20. Stamp a beautiful spring/Easter card with lots of color and glitter. Also paint and stamp a wooden Easter egg. Registration required.

Ready, Set, Draw!, 4-4:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 21. Learn to draw in a few easy steps.

Craft-Fest! 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 22. Stop by the children’s department for a variety of crafts.

Decorative Word Blocks Class for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22. Decorative blocks made out of heavy card stock. You will have the choice as to what words, Spring, Easter, Love, Family, your blocks spell. These blocks can decorate a shelf, fireplace, windowsill. Registration required.

The Oreo Challenge for ages 10-18, 4-5 p.m. Thursday, March 23. Do you think you know Oreos? Can you identify which flavor one is by looking at it? What about by tasting it? Put your senses to the test at this fun taste challenge.

Robots for ages 8-14, 4-5 p.m. Thursday, March 30. Can you program Dash to go through a maze? Test your programming skills at a few fun challenges. New programmers welcome. Basic instruction will be given.
