WAYNESVILLE — The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigated a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred at approximately 11:58 a.m. Aug. 28 on US Route 42 near Township Line Road in Warren County.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Makenna Blanding, 18, and passenger Kylee J. Blanding, 25, of Waynesville, were traveling northbound on US 42 in a white 2002 Oldsmobile Alero.

According to the OSHP, the vehicle operated by Makenna Blanding traveled left of center and struck a dark green Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by Daniel E. Harvey, 42, of Xenia.

Makenna Blanding was pronounced deceased at the scene. Harvey was transported via CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Kylee Blanding was transported to Atrium Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Wayne Township Fire Department, Ohio Department of Transportation, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warren County Coroner’s Office all assisted at the crash scene.
