St. Brigid holding blood drive

0

XENIA — St. Brigid Catholic Church will host a community blood drive from 3-7 p.m. Monday, March 16 in the Parish Activity Center, 312 Fairground Road.

Everyone who registers to donate will get a pair of green argyle socks to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day week. The “Spring into Giving” argyle socks with Community Blood Center blood drop are free when you register to donate through May 2.

CBC is providing blood to a growing number of hospitals outside its traditional 15-county service area. CBC is seeking new donors, double red blood cell donors, and a new generation of platelet and plasma donors.

The St. Brigid community blood drive now includes automated double red blood cell donations. Red cells are frequently needed for surgeries and emergencies. A double red cell donation contributes two units to the blood supply. To find out if automated donations are right for you or to make an appointment to donate, call 937-461-3220.

Appointments can be made online at www.DonorTime.com.
