Library board special meeting

GREENE COUNTY — The Board of Trustees of the Greene County Public Library will hold a special meeting 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24 at the Xenia Community Library to discuss health insurance.

PERI meeting

XENIA — The Greene County Chapter of the Public Employee Incorporated (PERI) will meat at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 24 in the Multipurpose Room at the Xenia Adult Recreation and Services Center (XARSC), 130 E. Church St.

An ‘Evening with the Ladies’ in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN — The Jamestown Opera House is presenting “An Evening with the Ladies” starring Brittney Miesse performing Christian, contemporary and country and the Boyer Sisters singing music from the 50s. The show will be 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26.

Road closures

GREENE COUNTY — The Greene County Engineer’s Office has announced the following road closures for road work:

The bridge on Hollingsworth Road in Caesarscreek Township will be closed for approximately two weeks to repair the bridge beginning Aug. 29. The closure will be between Paintersville-New Jasper Road and Mt. Carmel Road.

All scheduled closures are subject to weather conditions. All projects are contingent on weather. For more information about these projects contact the engineer’s office at 937-562-7500.

Trump Victory Center open

XENIA — The Trump Victory Center is now open inside the Greene County Republican Party headquarters, 477 Dayton Ave., Xenia. Hours have been expanded to 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday. Party members will find registration forms, campaign materials, Trump yard signs and a limited supply of other Trump campaign goodies such as T-shirts, caps, pins, and bumper stickers. Greene County Republican shirts (polo and tee) are also available in. The group plans a summer hog roast 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 in Xenia. For more information, contact Carolyn Uecker 937-974-7917.
