CEDARVILLE — For the 10th straight year, Cedarville University has recorded record enrollment.

The university reported a total enrollment of 3,760 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs, topping last year’s 3,711.

“We are thankful to the Lord for another strong enrollment year,” said Janice Supplee, vice president of Enrollment Management and Marketing. “As we move forward as a university, we are committed to providing an academically excellent, authentically Christian education that is affordable for students and families.”

The growth is due to a 5 percent increase of students enrolled in graduate and professional programs, 5 percent growth in transfer students, and an 85.3 percent retention rate. There are 372 students pursuing graduate degrees in Cedarville University’s six programs, and 3,388 students enrolled in undergraduate programs.

Of the incoming new students, the average grade point average is 3.7. The student body consists of students from all 50 states and 61 countries.

Even with the continued growth, Cedarville University remains committed to its mission of equipping graduates to serve God in whatever career they pursue.

“One of the major factors that causes students to enroll at Cedarville University is the spiritual climate of the campus,” said Roscoe Smith, associate vice president for university admissions. “Our students value spiritual development, which we are intentional about promoting.”
