XENIA — Elmcroft of Xenia will host a seminar discussing new, less invasive joint procedures 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17.

The guest speaker is Dr. Matthew A. Johansen with Beacon Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Johansen joined Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine as a fellowship trained joint replacement specialist for patients with severe knee and hip arthritis.

Fellowship trained at the prestigious Anderson Clinic in Alexandria, Va., Johansen has insight to total knee and total hip arthroplasty in patients with complex problems including primary and revision hip and knee replacement. His particular surgical interests include partial and total knee replacement, anterior approach hip replacement, complex revision of failed hip and knee replacement, and treatment of hip pain in the younger adult population.
