XENIA — The four-footed members of the family will have their turn at a photograph with Santa Claus at Greene County Parks & Trails’ (GCP&T) “Canine Christmas” to cap off its Santa’s Holiday in the Park celebration.

Pet owners are invited to bring their pet from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, to James Ranch Park, 177 Fairground Road for photos with Santa Claus within the 1800s brick home located within the park.

“We’ve had pet owners ask us to host this popular event,” said GCP&T Event Manager Robin Gregory. “Those of us with pets know they are important members of our families.”

The event is free but donations will be accepted and benefit the Scout Dog Park in Xenia, which was the first public dog park in Greene County and features three paddocks. A new canine nature playcape is scheduled to be installed this year within the third paddock.

Families may take their own photographs or purchase prints from betterImages and their professional photographers.
