SPRINGFIELD — The musical talent of Leslie Arendt and her sisters filled the parlor of the 1854 Hertzler House with joyous music over the weekend during the 2016 Christmas Open House.

More than 75 guests listened to favorite carols and enjoyed the Mennonite tradition of seven sweets and seven savories served in the dining room during the open house event. Several guests shopped in the mini gift shop and tried their hand at identifying carols with angel themes as Hertzler House Committee members had many angels as part of the decor.
