Coyne named to dean’s list

CHADRON, Nevada — Frances Coyne of Fairborn was one 400 named to the Chadron State College Dean’s list for fall 2016. The Dean’s list requires a 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of coursework during the semester to qualify.

President’s list

BURLINGTON, Vermont — Champlain College released the fall 2016 President’s List for students achieving a grade point average of 4.0 or higher in the fall 2016 semester. Greene County residents named to that list include: Jasmin Lancaster of Dayton, studying Computer Forensics & Digital Investigations and Shaina Williams of Xenia studying Business Management.

Clark State Dean’s List

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Clark State Community College has announced the names of students for the 2016 Fall Semester Dean’s List. Full-time students taking 12 or more credit hours and part-time students taking 6-11 credit hours earned a 3.5 grade point average or better to receive dean’s list honors.

OCU dean’s list

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Ohio Christian University announced its dean’s list for the Fall 2016 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and be enrolled in at least 12 semester hours. The following Greene County residents were named to that list: Jessica Curry of Beavercreek and Joshua Seabolt of Xenia.

Students named to honor society

BATON ROUGE, Lo. — The following local residents recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. The following Greene County students were named to the honor society: Davin Mao of Beavercreek and Danielle Graham of Fairborn. Both were initiated at Wright State University.

These residents are among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership.

Heidelberg fall dean’s list

TIFFIN, Ohio — More than 350 Heidelberg University students who have excelled in the classroom have been named to the fall semester dean’s list. Greene County resident Allyson Lyle of Bowersville, a freshman majoring in Criminology, was named to that list.

Students receive honor

WHEATON, Ill. — Wheaton College students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2016 semester. Dean’s List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale. The following Greene County residents were named to the list: April Futch of Dayton and Conner Imbody of Beavercreek.

OWU students recognized

DELAWARE, Ohio — Ohio Wesleyan University is pleased to announce its 2016 fall semester Dean’s List. To qualify for OWU Dean’s List recognition, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes. Local students earning dean’s list recognition include:Speridoula Karras of Bellbrook; Shannon Schlater and Orion Wright of Fairborn.

Illinois Wesleyan dean’s list

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The following students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2016-17 academic year at Illinois Wesleyan University: Laura Bullock and Rachel Westerkamp both of Beavercreek. To be on the Dean’s List, a student must have a grade-point average of 3.50 or better during the semester, based on 4.0 for straight As.
