Man charged with attempted murder pleads not guilty

XENIA — A local man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and several other felony charges May 26 in Greene County Common Pleas Court.

According to court records, an indictment was filed May 19 charging Andrew Lott, 32, with attempted murder, a first-degree felony; felonious assault, a second-degree felony; improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation; a second-degree felony; breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, and having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony. The date of offense is recorded as Feb. 22.

Counsel entered a not guilty plea on behalf of the defendant to all charges during the arraignment.

Magistrate Raymond Dundes ordered the bond set at $1 million to continue. He set a pre-trial for June 2, a final pre-trial for July 7 and a jury trial for July 17. Judge Stephen Wolaver is handing the case.

Court records indicate that Lott has another open criminal case regarding seven third-degree felony charges.
