Fireworks, festivals set for the fourth

GREENE COUNTY — Residents can enjoy fireworks and other Fourth of July festivities.

Centerville Americana Festival and Fireworks

7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 4

The festival will begin the night before, on Monday, July 3, with a concert at 7 p.m. On the fourth, a 5K will start at 7:30 a.m. at Centerville High School Stadium, East Franklin Street. Americana Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on East Franklin Street. A street fair, entertainment, car show and children’s activities will follow until fireworks kick off at 10 p.m.

Fourth of July Car Show

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, Greene County Fairgrounds, 120 Fairground Road, Xenia

Greene County Fairgrounds will host the Greene County Antique and Classic Car Show and Swap Meet. Show registration is 8 a.m. to noon. Awards and prizes will be given out. Visitors can also enjoy food and entertainment.

Fairborn Parade and Fireworks

10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, Fairborn Community Park, 691 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn

The fourth in Fairborn will start with a block party 3-10 p.m., Monday, July 3, on Main Street. An Independence Day parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4 at Fairborn Plaza Shopping Center. Fireworks will conclude the festivities at 10 p.m. at Community Park.

Yellow Springs Parade and Fireworks

3-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, Gaunt Park, 500 W. South College Street, Yellow Springs

Celebrations will begin with a parade at 3 p.m. down Xenia Avenue. The YS Community Band will play its annual pre-fireworks concert at 8 p.m. at Gaunt Park, followed by fireworks beginning around 9:30 p.m. All are encouraged to walk to the park if possible and arrive early. In the event of rain, fireworks will be postponed but the concert will begin at 8 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Beavercreek 4th of July

6-10:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, Rotary Park, 2260 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek

A parade will begin at 6 p.m. at Meadowbridge Drive and continue east on Dayton-Xenia Road to Beavercreek High School. After the parade, Rotary Park will feature food trucks, live entertainment, children’s activities, and fireworks at 10 p.m.

Kettering Go 4th! Fireworks

10 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, Delco Park

Bring chairs, blankets and family for fireworks at 10 p.m.

Xenia Kevin Sonnycalb Memorial Fireworks Festival

4-11 p.m. Friday, July 7, Shawnee Park, 591 South Park Drive, Xenia

Xenia’s annual fireworks and festival will be busy with food trucks, live entertainment, a puppet and magic show, bike parade and more, followed by fireworks.
