XENIA — Winners have been announced in the City of Xenia Tree Committee’s Spring Photography Contest — attracting 42 entries from 11 photographers — designed to capture a unique aspect of a tree during the spring season.

Judges for the event were Tim Brickey, Senior Center Liaison, Greene County Council on Aging; Ken LeBlanc, Director, Greene County Regional Planning Commission; and Terry Reiff, Greene County Master Gardener. All three enjoy photography as a hobby.

Winners of the 2017 Contest are Kenneth Ostrum, Dogwood Flower; Gracie Wilson, Crabapple Flower; Becky Hancock, Home Avenue Trees; Tammie Grieve, Honey Locust Bud; and Debbie Gullet, Tree Limb.

All trees were photographed within the city limits of Xenia.

The winning photograph will be displayed in the Xenia City Hall, 107 E. Main St., and shared on the City of Xenia and City of Xenia Tree Committee Facebook page. Awards will be presented at an upcoming meeting of the Xenia City Commission.
