The National Museum of the United States Air Force has been restoring a B-17F Memphis Belle since 2005 but is now less than one year from being presented to the public. Restoration specialists installed a tail turret July 26. It will later be moved to the museum’s WWII gallery, where it will open for public display in May 2018.
