XENIA — Get into the spirit of the Greene County Fair and win prizes from your hometown newspapers Xenia Daily Gazette, Fairborn Daily Herald and Beavercreek News-Current. There will be several contests this year for our readers and followers. Prizes will be awarded for each contest thanks to our prize sponsors, Nick’s Restaurant and Scott Family McDonald’s.

Instagram scavenger hunt

Get involved with our unique Instagram scavenger hunt. The first person to provide this newspaper via Instagram or Facebook with all of the following photos will win a $25 gift certificate to Nick’s:

– Grab a paper between Tuesday, July 25 and Saturday, Aug. 5 (with one of those dates!) and take your photo with that newspaper showing the date and a Greene County Fair sign somewhere on the Fairgrounds or near there.

– Take a photo of you or your family member getting ready for the Fair. Maybe you are washing your animal, working on your project or packing to go to the Fair.

– Take a photo of yourself in a barn at the Fairgrounds.

– Take a photo of yourself eating Fair food.

– Get your photo taken with a Gazette news reporter during the week of the Fair. Staff will be wearing our newspaper T-shirts on the Fairgrounds.

Send these five photos to one of our Instagram accounts (below). All five photos must be sent from the same account via Instagram. Deadline to complete this contest is noon Monday, Aug. 7.

Best food selfie

Staff wants to see your best selfie eating your favorite food at the Fair. The photo should be fun and we will post the top three on Facebook. Photos should be sent via Instagram or Facebook. Deadline is noon Monday, Aug. 7. Get a gift certificate to Nicks and McDonalds.

Best animal photo

Send us your best selfie with any animal during the Fair via Instagram. Have fun and we will post the best three on Facebook. Deadline is noon Monday, Aug. 7. Get a gift certificates to McDonalds.

Cutest kid

Send us the cutest child photo during the Fair. Be creative. The top three will go on Facebook. Win a gift card to Nick’s and McDonald’s certificates. Deadline is noon Monday, Aug. 7.

Sending us your photo via Instagram or Facebook will authorize us to use it in social media and in print during and after Fair week. Winners will be announced on social media sites and in print.
