XENIA — Xenia Area Community Theater (X*ACT) will be hosting multiple events in August as a part of its Whistle Stop Opry series. The theater is located at 45 E. Second St. Admission costs $10 for adults, $8 for X*Act members, and $5 for children under age 12.

Kauffman Road will preform 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug.5. Kauffman Road is made up of veteran musicians out of Columbus. They were featured on Live at Sterling Bluegrass Jamboree on The Bluegrass Jamboree radio show. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The Muleskinner Band is a bluegrass band featuring Urbanana residents. They will perform 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19.

Willow Creek is locally oriented, and they’ll be performing at Whistle Stop 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26. Three members were active in the Family Tree Dulcimer Band before branching out to form a bluegrass band.
