XENIA — The City of Xenia will host the 2017 Xenia Job Fair 2-5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Xenia High School.

The city, in partnership with OhioMeansJobs Greene County, the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce, Clark State Community College and Xenia Community Schools, has invited companies from different disciplines that are hiring and ready to fill open positions.

“We find that many employers have job openings that Xenia area residents can fill,” City Manager Brent Merriman said. “We have worked hard with our job fair partners this year to present an event that will not only highlight employment opportunities in our city and region but will also include opportunities for graduating seniors.”

Thejob fair will also include a high school seniors only mini-job fair that will be geared towards employing high school seniors.

More than 40 companies and exhibitors are expected to attend including Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services, NTB Trucking, Pepsi Beverage Company, Eyemart, the City of Xenia, Nuvasive Manufacturing, Assurant, First Transportation, Spectrum Brands, Twist, Inc., Toward Independence, First Diversity, and Academy Health Services, Inc.

Hiring categories will range from entry level to highly skilled and professional.

The event is free and open to the public.
