Got Chocolate? 5K to be held Saturday

XENIA — Chocolate-lovers are invited to walk or run in the 6th Annual 5K Got Chocolate?, benefiting Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN)/ Schneider House of Hope, Saturday, Nov. 4 at Xenia Station Hub, 150 South Miami Ave.

Participants can register the day of the event, beginning at 8 a.m., or pre-register online at racepenguin.com. Same-day registration is $30 for adults, $15 for kids 10 and under, and free for kids under 5. Pre-registration is $25 for adults, $12 for kids under 10, and free for kids under 5.

Check-in begins at 8 a.m. Start time is 9:30 a.m.

After the run/walk, participants can enjoy a cup of Coffee Hub’s hot chocolate, American Classic’s chocolate donuts, and other chocolate treats. Race winners will receive a chocolate medal.

All proceeds will go toward IHN/ Schneider House of Hope to help displaced families in Greene County. The shelter is currently in need of funds to help children and their parents who are temporarily homeless for various reasons. By providing short-term shelter to these families, this local charity helps its homeless clients get back into society’s mainstream by finding a job and a place to live.
