WSU to host spring dance concert

FAIRBORN — The Wright State University Dance Ensemble (WSUDE) is slated to share seven premiere works including innovative pieces by guest choreographers Shannon Bramham and Erin Robbins, along with those by WSU Dance Faculty and guests, Dayton Ballet II and Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II.

The first guest choreographer, Shannon Bramham, has built a national reputation creating powerful, raw and unique works that reflect the current generation of fresh choreographers. Her work has won awards nationally at both the American College Dance Festival and Regional Dance Association. The second guest is regional choreographer, Erin Robbins, who has created new ballet work for WSUDE dancers.

Choreographic works include Eight.6.Ten, Open Out, Perchance to Dream and Shades of Shattered Strength. Performances are slated for 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19; Wright State students are permitted to attend this performance for free with their student ID. Additional performances are slated for 8 p.m. Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21; and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students.
