JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP — A Sabina man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Thomas Dale, 32, was riding west on Hussey Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the 4100 block and went off the left side of the roadway into a ditch and overturned.

He was taken to Kettering Medical Center by MedFlight where we was listed in serious condition, according to Sgt. Jim Slusher.

Dale was not wearing a helmet, Slusher said.

“Anytime you wreck a motorcycle and you’re not wearing a helmet, its going to be a significantly serious injury that occurs,” he said. “Even with a helmet it can be pretty significant.”

Dale was also operating the motorcycle without the proper endorsement on his license.

“By legal standards he absolutely should not have been on that bike,” Slusher said.

Dale will most likely be cited with failure to control and operating without an endorsement, according to Slusher.
