BEAVERCREEK — Chuy’s, the Mexican Restaurant in the Fairfield Commons Mall, is teaming up with Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy to provide a benefit fundraiser to assist in training and equipping local therapy dogs.
The event will be held 3:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14 at the restaurant. Chuy’s will donate 10 percent of its sales during that time to Best Friends.
A number of the therapy dog teams will be available to greet visitors just outside the restaurant during the hours of the fundraiser. Established in August 2006, Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy is a non-profit, 501c3 organization based in southwest Ohio. The membership is made up of the volunteer dog and human teams who visit facilities such as hospitals and nursing homes throughout the area as well as individual patrons and corporate sponsors who support the efforts of these teams through their donations.
