XENIA — The Xenia High School marching band is hoping to help the military and entertain residents at the same time.

The Marching Buccaneers are holding a free concert 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 in the high school auditorium and will feature the music of legendary rock band Queen. Attendees are asked to support the men and women in the military by bring a donation to the concert.

Snacks: Beef jerky; sunflower seeds; bottle of BBQ sauce; hard candies (no chocolate); peanuts; flavoring packets for water; and hot sauce.

Toiletries: Stick sunscreen; baby wipes; Chapstick; Vicks VapoRub; pain relieving cream; makeup; nail care products; facial moisturizers; leave-in shampoo and conditioner; ethnic hair care products; loofahs; bobby pins; small packs of tissues; small packs of Q-tips; spray deodorant; dental floss; disposable razors; and socks.

Miscellaneous: Board games (new); playing cards (new); used iPods or MP3 players (loaded with music would be awesome); books; hand-held video games; stationery; pens; stamps; “Thank you for your service notes”; large rolls of packaging tape; fragrant candles; Ziploc bags gallon/quart size; and current magazines (within six months).
