XENIA — Ray Hensley Inc. began chip sealing roads Thursday and will continue through next week, weather and equipment permitting, according to the Greene County Engineer’s Office.

Weather and equipment permitting, the following roads will be under construction:

Paintersville New Jasper Road — Saturday, Aug. 8

Hollingsworth Road and Mason Road (township roads) — Monday, Aug. 10

Port William Road and Orchard Grove Road — Tuesday, Aug. 11

Turner Road and Needmore Road (township roads) — Wednesday, Aug. 12

Work will be done between the hours of 7:30 a.m and 5 p.m. each day. Emergency traffic and local traffic only will be maintained using flaggers (no through traffic). Travelers can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes.

When traveling through these areas, the engineer’s office asks drivers to slow down and use caution as there will be loose stone and unmarked no passing zones.
