Wisdom comes from God

Twice in the book of James we are told to submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Just take a look around you—the devil is working overtime! I can’t believe what is happening around me, but the Bible says that’s the way it will be in the end times because man is evil. At one point God even said He was sorry that He created mankind.

Some ask why God allowed evil to come into the world. Well, there is a devil who once was one of God’s angels. He wanted to be like God; no, he wanted to BE God. Lucifer rebelled against God and he was cast out of Heaven. He convinced Adam and Eve to sin against God and he has created hell on earth from that time to now.

I am sitting here reading God Word and writing the thoughts that He brings to my mind. If you think I’m going to miss Heaven, you’d better think again! I’m almost there, and I’ve come too far to turn around now. Turn around to what? Some say, “I know what Charlie used to be like. Who does he think he is?” Well, nobody really knows what Charlie Huff used to be, but the past is history—I’m a new creation in Christ. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

I’m not here to satisfy other people, I’m here to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. God created all things perfect, but He gave man the freedom to choose. The devil, who is evil, wants us so bad that he lies and deceives and does everything he can to bring us down.

But Jesus came down, walked this earth like you and me, gave His life, rose again, and went back to Heaven. When He did, He sent us a Helper—the Holy Spirit. I’m climbing the stairway to Heaven, I’m almost at the top and I will never stop till I get there. When all of us will leave here, we don’t know, but I want to take everybody with me I can.

I’ve got a one-track mind—talking about Jesus and Heaven all the time. I talk to lots of people and I don’t force Jesus on them, I just love them, show them some kindness, and move on. Even writing about Jesus makes me happy and excited. Watch out!

Some people say they don’t understand the Bible. My advice is to get together with someone who can explain it to you. It can be simple enough for a child to understand it. In fact, the Bible says that unless we change and become like little children, we cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Let me know what you don’t understand and I’ll be glad to help you. That’s what God has called me to do.

The Bible poses this question: What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? The Bible also says that even if everyone else forsakes you, Jesus will never forsake you. He is your ticket to Heaven and mine!

I share Jesus with everyone I meet and through these letters because of all that He has done for me. He loves me and He suffered and died in my place. All it takes is a little common sense and faith the size of a mustard seed. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells of Jesus the Messiah. The Bible is not a fairy tale; it’s a love letter and an instruction book. It gives us God’s good plan for all who obey Him.

If you die without Jesus, there will be hell to pay. What I write is in God’s Word, but some people hate me for it. I guess I’ll just have to get over it! But I care enough to tell you the truth…and the Truth is Jesus.

I’m enjoying a peaceful and quiet time with the Lord, reading His Word and writing to try to help someone get to Heaven. I don’t understand it all either; in fact, no one will. But I do understand the most important thing in the entire story—Jesus Christ is the Way!
