A faith that trusts

“Then Jesus answered, ‘Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.’ And her daughter was healed from that very hour.” (Matthew 15:28)

Faith does make the difference. How much or how little has been debated for centuries. This woman has a daughter who is possessed by a demon and suffers terribly. She knows that Jesus cares about her daughter and can make a difference in her life simply from hearing about all that He has already done for others. That is what faith is. Faith is knowing that our God will make a difference in our life according to His will. With honest and sincere communication with our God, through Jesus, many opportunities for healing and wholeness are ours.

Today we do not have to learn of God’s goodness through Jesus from afar. We have a relationship with Him now and our life is in His hands. Our desires are lifted to Him and we know that He will respond for us. Every aspect of our life will be turned to good by our Lord. Each piece of our life will fit into a puzzle that will make our life compete and whole. Life is His gift and He is with us to help us get the most out of it. He is pleased to help us in our times of need, just like Jesus was when He walked this earth.

Heavenly Father, we trust You with our life. We place our life in Your hands because we know You care for us. You will be with us when we need You and our only problem is that we may hesitate to call upon You for some reason. Help us to turn to You first in every need and crisis. You are our wholeness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
