XENIA — William Eichman was born in Xenia in 1914. After graduating from Xenia Central High School and Miami University, he joined the family business, Eichman Electric. He served as a member of the Xenia City Commission for 26 years. He served as Mayor and later was acting City Manager. He was the recipient of the Torrence Award and the Kiwanis Legion of Honor. He dedicated many hours to the Spirit of ‘74 Tornado Committee formed following the 1974 Xenia tornado.
