Remembering James Galloway Sr.

XENIA — James Galloway Sr. was a soldier of the Revolutionary War serving under George Rogers Clark. He brought his family from Kentucky in 1797 to settle near present Old Town. He became the first County Treasurer, a position he held for 14 years. He was a friend of the Shawnee warrior Tecumseh. His log home is owned by The Greene County Historical Society. He and his wife Rebecca are buried in Stevenson Cemetery
