JAMESTOWN — Pat Kolesar was born in 1942, she was often recognized for her signature pink hair. This Jamestown artist came to Ohio in 1975, a talented sculptor and painter who began to create a series of dolls which looked like real kids. Over a 25 year period she designed thousands of dolls. She became internationally famous when some of her dolls were featured on the Home Shopping Network, breaking sales records. She also created a line of bears with sculptured faces call the “Burton’s Creek Collection” marketed by Gund Toy Co. As time permitted she especially enjoyed her Koi pond.
