XENIA — A Beavercreek woman could face up to 32 years in jail for alleged sex crimes against a minor.

Renee M. Deen, 26, was indicted Friday on four counts, two each of sexual battery and pandering obscenity involving a minor — all second-degree felonies. Via video arraignment in Greene County Common Pleas Court, Deen waived her right for a grand jury and pleaded not guilty.

According to court documents, Deen allegedly performed a sex act on a minor and filmed it with her phone in March and April. It was discovered on a Skype account by a third party, who in turn notified Beavercreek police April 19. Deen was arrested a short time later and remains in Greene County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bond.

Pre-trial hearings are scheduled Aug. 2 and Aug. 24 in front of Judge Michael Buckwalter. No jury trial date has been set yet. Deen will also undergo a competency and sanity evaluation by Forensic Psychiatry Center for Western Ohio.

Neither assistant prosecutor Alice DeWine or Deen’s attorney, Adrian King, had any comments regarding the case after the arraignment. DeWine did say each count carries a mandatory jail term of up to eight years.
