Greene County News Report

FAIRBORN — A former Greene County prosecutor pleaded guilty to OVI and physical control charges in Fairborn Municipal Court Feb. 1 from incidents occurring last fall.

William Schenck, 69, of Beavercreek, was stopped for operating a vehicle under the influence in Beavercreek in September 2015, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 177 suspended according to Fairborn Municipal Court records. He was ordered to serve three days in a driver intervention program and was fined almost $500.

Schenck was also found guilty of a physical control charge, stemming from an August 2015 stop by Ohio State Patrol. He was fined $415 and had a 90-day jail sentence suspended, court records indicate.

Schenck previously pleaded guilty to reckless operation charges in February 2014 after he was stopped for suspected OVI in November 2013.

Schenck was the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney for more than 25 years until 2006.
