BEAVERCREEK — Author Stephen King will make an appearance at The Greene this summer as part of his “End of Watch” book tour. According to a posting on the famous author’s website, he’ll be at Books & Co. June 9.

According to King’s website, 400 pre-signed books will be randomly given out at each event on his 12-city book tour. No book signings will be available during the appearances.

No further specifics about the event have been released.

“End of Watch” is slated to be released June 7. The book is “a compelling and chilling suspense novel which sees retired detective Bill Hodges back on the trail of his nemesis Brady Hartsfield, the criminal the press called The Mercedes Killer,” a description of the book on King’s website states. “Foiled in his attempt to commit a second mass murder, Hartsfield is confined to a hospital brain injury unit in a seemingly unresponsive state. But all is not what it seems: Brady is able to influence both his physician and the hospital librarian to commit crimes in the outside world.”

King has written more than 50 books, including hits “The Shining” and “Carrie,” since making his first professional short story sale in 1967.

Requests for comment from representatives for King and Books & Co. were not returned by press time.
