XENIA — Greene County dog owners will now be able to purchase their dog tags online. Tags may be purchased through the Greene County Auditor’s dog registration website doglicenses.us/OH/Greene.
The cost for an online purchase includes a basic tag fee of $20 plus an online convenience fee of $2.50 for each dog registered. Purchases made online are payable using American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa. Owners will receive their tags via return mail within 10 business days.
Dog licenses are offered in the following increments: one-year tag, $20; three-year tag, $60, permanent tag, $200; kennel license, $100.
Dog tags are available from Dec. 1 through Jan. 31 without a penalty. Unless it is a newly acquired dog, all tags purchased after Jan. 31, 2016 will be subject to a late fee. All dogs three months and older that have been owned for more than 30 days are required to be licensed.
Tags may still be purchased via mail or by visiting the Greene County Auditor’s Office, 69 Greene St, Xenia; or Greene County Animal Control, 641 Dayton Xenia Road. For more information contact the Auditor’s Office at 937-562-5065.
