Young entrepreneurs selling products

XENIA — Xenia’s young entrepreneurs are going to be selling their products during XTAR’s Project Showcase.

The fourth-graders in Donna Shaw’s gifted program researched, pitched a business plan and secured a loan from the XTAR bank to buy materials and design, manufacture and market their products.

The showcase is6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Cox Elementary School. The public is invited. Guests can purchase XTAR money (25 XTAR dollars cost $5 ) and buy the products. Items generally cost between 30-50 XTAR dollars. The first 10 percent of the the profit will be donated to a charity chosen by the XTAR Young Entrepreneurs. The rest of the money will be used to restock the raw materials cabinet for next year’s showcase.
