Successful picnic event

The Kiwanis Club of Xenia held the sixth annual Picnic in the Park this year in Shawnee Park on June 22, 2014, but with a difference. The event was not a fundraiser, but a free community picnic with food, entertainment, many activities for the children, clowns (Sparkle and Lucky), Batman, face painting, games provided by the YMCA and a concert by the Greene County Band. The Bookmobile was there, the Xenia Police were present to promote the Dare Program, and free Bike Helmets were given out to the youth by the club. The Kiwanis Club would like to thank all those who helped make this community event a success.
