BELLBROOK — The 2021 Sugar Maple Festival has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Organizers made the announcement Monday afternoon.
“Based on current and ongoing state restrictions related to the pandemic, the Sugar Maple Festival is not able to obtain permits required to proceed with the festival this year, even with safety and health modifications,” according to an email from festival planners. “After several weeks of working with the Greene County Health Department and the Ohio Department of Health, the 2021 Sugar Maple Festival has been cancelled.”
The 2022 festival will be held April 22-24.
“We are saddened to share this news, but we will be back next spring, bigger and better. Save the date,” the release said.
