YELLOW SPRINGS — The creative strategy firm, The Bricks Agency, was honored with three bronze advertising awards during the 2017 American Advertising Federation Dayton Hermes Show.
The annual event, Feb. 25 at the Schuster Performing Arts Center, recognizes outstanding achievements in advertising design and production by professional and student designers, photographers, videographers and copywriters. In the category of Elements of Advertising Photography Campaign, The Bricks Agency was recognized for two of its entries with a Bronze Hermes Award for each. One project was part of an environment photo shoot for an international medical sterilization company. The other was a product shoot for another medical supplier, Dayton-based, Innovative Sterilization Technologies. The agency’s third Bronze Hermes was received in the category of Integrated Media Public Service Campaign for a branding project created for Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse.
Various branding media was created for the fall 2016 play called, “Alice Although branding,” which included t-shirts, tickets, posters and more. The Bricks Agency was established in early 2015 as a creative subsidiary of DMS ink, a critical communication company. Based in Yellow Springs, the firm provides advertising strategy, graphic design, copywriting, corporate identity and public relations services. Gery Deer is the managing director of the agency.
“We have an amazing creative team and, even though we’re a young agency, our work speaks for itself,” Deer said. “We’re up against some talented competition every day in business and our advantage is the vision of our president and CEO Christine Soward and having our parent company under the same roof with us.”
