Club to host Car Show & Swap

XENIA — The Greene County Antique and Classic Car Club invites spectators to the 52nd Annual Car Show and Swap Meet 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 4 at the Greene County Fairgrounds, 120 Fairground Road.

Spectators can browse cars in each class, enjoy a selection of food vendors and listen to live music by Dick “Hot Dog” Ryman. Suggested donation for spectators is $2; children 16 and under are free with adult admission.

Car oriented flea market is free. Suggested donations are as follows: swap space; $5 (first space is free); car corral, $10; show cars, $10. Outside or inside air conditioned spaces will be available.

Show registration is 8 a.m. to noon.

Registration is free for 1930 and older vehicles, CCCA Classics and vehicles built in 1967.

Judging classes include: Antiques to 1929, Production 1930 – 1936, CCCA Classics, Production 1937 – 1942, Production 1946 – 1954, Production 1955 – 1960, Production 1961 – 1965, Production 1966 – 1970, Production 1971 – 1992, Production 1993 & Later Special Interest, Corvette 1953 – 1962, Corvette 1963 – 1967, Corvette 1968 – 1992, Corvair, Thunderbird 1955 – 1992, Mustang 1964 – 1992, Muscle Cars – GM, Muscle Cars – Non GM, Street Rods – Open, Street Rods – Closed, Street Machines – Open, Street Machines – Closed, Trucks/Utility to 1992, Studebaker (All Years) and Barn Finds/Unrestored to 1992.

Awards and prizes include dash plaques to the first 250 units, door prizes each hour, two trophies in each of the 25 classes, a 50/50 drawing and driver’s drawing, and awards for the Best of Show, Oldest Car, Memorial Award and People’s Choice. The award ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.
