Bar shooting leads to felonious assault charge

XENIA — A July jury trial is set for a Xenia woman accused of shooting a man during an argument at the Roundtable Bar.

Xenia Police Division said Talicia A. Dixon, 27, allegedly brandished a handgun and shot Andre Nooks in the neck shortly before 1:30 a.m. May 5 in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue. Nooks was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Dixon was arrested on a warrant for felonious assault, a second-degree felony, June 1 at a traffic stop, according to police.

Judge Michael Buckwalter bumped up Dixon’s bond from $200,000 no 10 percent to $750,000 no 10 percent.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Thursday, June 14; a final pre-trial hearing for Friday, June 29 and a jury trial for Monday, July 30.

Dixon is in the Greene County Jail.
