Free screening of Dark Money

XENIA — Greater Dayton Move to Amend will host a free screening of Dark Money, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Xenia Community Library, 76 E. Market St.

This event is a collaboration with the award-winning documentary series POV (www.pbs.org/pov). The documentary by filmmaker Kimberly Reed follows local Montana journalist John S. Adams as he seeks to uncover the truth about funding in his state’s elections. This award-winning, independent film offers numerous perspectives on dark money donations — the unlimited campaign contributions from undisclosed donors, individuals and corporations that have been allowed since the Jan. 21, 2010 Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission.

A discussion will follow the screening using materials provided by POV. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Greater Dayton Move to Amend at [email protected].
