SPRINGFIELD — A wanted registered sex offender and suspect in a Xenia Township break-in was arrested in Springfield Friday morning.
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Seth Adkins, 43, was taken into custody by deputies and U.S. Marshals in Springfield.
According to a release from the sheriff’s office, Adkins was wanted by the law enforcement office for failing to verify his address as a registered sex offender. Adkins was convicted of sexual imposition in Clark County in 2005, was classified as a sex offender and is required to register his address once a year for 10 years.
Adkins was also wanted by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office for a break-in at a Xenia Township veterinary office in September. Adkins allegedly stole a cash register from the business’s counter before fleeing the scene.
Adkins has also previously served jail time and paid fines for multiple breaking and entering and burglary cases in Greene and Clark counties, according to online court records from both counties.
