Greene County News Report
XENIA — The Xenia Rotary Club sponsored the Xenia elementary field days with $500 to each school.
Rotary also sponsored a field day event — Race to the 4 Way Test. Students followed a four-station course where they were shared a story reflecting one of the pillars of the 4 Way Test and then were given a question.
If they answered the question correctly they moved to the next station. At the finish line, they put the clues in order and received a tattoo.
“Incorporating the Race to the 4 Way Test activity at the elementary school’s field days this year was a great way for Rotarians to interact with the kids and introduce them to what Rotary is all about,” said co-chair Denise Davis. “The kids loved going from station to station, listening to a story that emphasized a part of the 4 Way Test, earning their clue cards and racing to the finish line where they put their clues in order. They especially enjoyed receiving their prizes – a Rotary wheel tattoo. It was a big hit this year.”
