JAMESTOWN — Greeneview Middle School announced its September students of the month. Recognized were Madison Firman, fifth grade; Harley Clonch, sixth grade; Kalyn Biggs, seventh grade; and Colby Slate, eighth grade.
Firman’s teachers said she is respectful and comes to school every day ready to learn. She is friendly and helpful to her peers, and sets a good example with her behavior by listening and following directions. Firman always takes her time and tries her best on assignments and is actively engaged in classroom discussions.
Clonch was described by her teachers as very conscientious and reliable. She always puts her school work first and is respectful of her teachers and peers and shows great patience when she is helping others in the classroom. Clonch’s hard work and persistent attitude make her a wonderful student to have in class, the teachers added.
Biggs was chosen by her teachers because of her hard work and positive attitude. She consistently shows good role model qualities in the classroom. Biggs is dependable and very respectful to all of her teachers.
Slate’s teachers noticed how hard-working, respectful, and polite he is. Even when suffering a broken arm while playing hockey, his perseverance and “no excuses” attitude shined through, as he only missed one day of school and completed all of his missing assignments with no complaints. Slate’s positive attitude and work ethic is a model for all to follow, the teachers said.
