I have a dilemma.
I can’t figure out what happened to all the games I loved to play when I was a kid.
Back in the early 1950s we had games. Lots and lots of games.
Everything from hide ‘n seek and kick the can to flashlight tag and Red Rover, Red Rover, come over, over come over.
Yesiree, we had a slew of games back then and every summer evening kids would play games in the glow of the only street light on Oak Street in Flint, Michigan.
Sometimes there were as many as a dozen boys and girls enjoying those games.
Some of our games required you to choose up sides before the playing started. Others didn’t.
I played a lot of those games in the glow of the street lights on Oak Street which back then was paved with dirt.
