DAYTON — Carroll High School Freedom Players will perform the play “Meet Me In St. Louis” on Nov. 4-6.

Produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company and written by Christopher Sergel based on the book by Sally Benson. This “comedy in three acts” was written during a time that actually occurred: the World’s Fair of 1904 in St. Louis. This play is about the misadventures of four sisters and their well-to-do father, Mr. Smith. He is faced with a huge business deal that could change his daughter’s lives forever. But Rose, the eldest, and her three sisters make it their job to try and stop it, for if they leave, they’ll miss the fair.

Smith are portrayed by seniors Will Taylor and Olyvia Weimer. Rose is played by Marina Sorrell. Student Director is senior, Sadie Rondeau. The stage is managed by senior crew Amelia Thompson, Eddie Wolff, Danielle Spanbauer, and Julia Arnold. Emma Wright is the Costume Manager. The cast and crew consist of over 40 Carroll students in grades 9 through 12.

The Carroll Freedom Players are directed by Toni Weitz and Diane Walters. Stage Director is Jack Glaser and Abby Wiles is Director of Costumes.
